Zekât Defteri
Zekât Defteri ("Zakat & Charity Ledger") is designed to keep your zakat and charity tracking personal and private. This page explains exactly what data the app handles and where it is stored.
What data do you enter?
While using the app, you may voluntarily create records such as:
- Zakat and charity entries (amount, date, type, optional note)
- Asset/amount figures you enter for nisab calculations
- Category, reminder, and preference settings
Where is your data stored?
On your device only. Zekât Defteri never sends any record you enter to a server. The app works fully offline; your records are kept in your device's local storage (file system).
What we do not collect
- No account creation or sign-in — no information that identifies you is ever requested
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising or advertising-identifier tracking
- No third-party SDKs or tracking software
- Your data is never shared with us or anyone else, because it never reaches us
In App Store privacy-label terms: this app does not collect any data that is linked to you or used to identify you ("Data Not Collected").
Backup and deletion
From within the app you can export all your records as a JSON file (backup), and you can permanently delete all your data at any time using the in-app option. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data along with it.
Sharing with third parties
Since your data never leaves your device, there is nothing to share with any third party.
Important note
Zekât Defteri is not a religious authority or a source of religious rulings (fatwa). Calculations in the app are provided purely as a general convenience for personal tracking and do not constitute binding religious guidance. For definitive decisions about your zakat obligations, please consult a scholar you trust.
Children's privacy
The app is designed for general use and does not knowingly collect data from children — no data leaves the device in any case.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
