Move the Herd

Effective: 6 September 2026 (updated the day the unlock went live)

Move the Herd is a puzzle game about a small herd that all walks in the same direction. It has no account and no server of ours — this page is short because there is genuinely little to describe.

What leaves your device

Nothing we can read. The game itself makes no network requests: there is no sign-in, nothing to sync, and no server of ours that could receive anything even if we wanted it to.

There is exactly one exception, and it is not ours: when you tap Unlock or Restore, Apple's own purchase system (StoreKit) talks to Apple to take the payment and to tell the app whether this device owns the unlock. That exchange is between you and Apple. We are not part of it and we never see it — see Purchases below.

The second exception is also Apple's, and it only happens if you ask for it: tapping Leaderboard opens Apple's Game Center. From then on the game sends Game Center one number — your total stars — so it can rank you. Your Game Center name, friends and identifier stay with Apple; the app never receives them and we have no server that could. If you never tap Leaderboard, Game Center is never contacted. Apple's handling of Game Center is described in Apple's Game Center privacy notice.

What is stored, and where

These are written to your device's own storage and stay there:

That is the complete list. There is no profile, no identifier, no device fingerprint and no usage history. Nothing here is personal information, and none of it is readable by anyone but you.

Analytics and advertising

There are none. No analytics service, no advertising network, no crash reporter, no third-party SDK. Nothing counts how you play.

Purchases

The first 10 levels are free. Unlocking the remaining 109 is a single one-time purchase; there is no subscription and nothing is consumable.

That purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card, your Apple ID, or your name — the app only ever learns whether this device owns the unlock, and that answer is stored on the device like everything else here. There is no account and no server, so there is nothing for us to link a purchase to.

Progress itself still cannot be bought. A level opens because you solved the one before it; the purchase removes the price, not the puzzle.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes every stored value with it. There is no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing left to request, export or erase. Your purchase is the one thing that survives, because Apple — not we — remembers it; "Restore purchases" asks Apple for it again.

Children

Move the Herd is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version ever stores or sends something new, this page changes in the same release — not after it.
