Faraday
Faraday loads content onto your phone before you lose signal. To do that it reads your calendar — so this page is specific about what happens to it. There is no account, no sign-in and no tracking of any kind.
Your calendar
When you grant calendar access, Faraday reads your upcoming events on the device to spot offline windows such as a flight or a daily commute. Event titles, notes, locations and times are never uploaded, never logged and never shared. Detection only proposes a trip — you confirm it.
The briefing service
If you ask for a trip briefing, Faraday sends three things to its briefing service: the trip type (flight or daily), the destination name, and your chosen interest tags (for example "AI", "Startups"). Nothing else is sent — not your events, not your identity, not your location, not your device identifiers. If the service is unreachable, Faraday writes the briefing on the device instead.
Downloads
Podcast episodes are fetched from public RSS feeds and stored in Faraday's own folder on your device. Faraday does not download from YouTube, Netflix or Spotify — for those it only opens the app so you can save content there yourself.
What Faraday does not do
- No account, no sign-in, no password.
- No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking software.
- No profile is built about you, on the device or anywhere else.
Notifications
Notifications are composed and scheduled on the device. No push server is involved and no notification content leaves your phone.
Deleting your data
Clearing the downloaded pack from the Setup screen removes the stored files. Deleting the app removes everything Faraday has kept. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is no account to close and nothing to request from us.
Children
Faraday is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
